Dancing the Divine Feminine

Discover how the divine feminine appears vividly in the art of Middle Eastern dance and in the dancer in this presentation and performance. After a brief exploration of the origins, history, and styles of Middle Eastern dance, we will discuss the contemporary state of the art and reflect on the relationship of the dancer to the divine feminine. A live performance of Raqs Masri, the basis of all contemporary Middle Eastern dance, will follow as an illustration of the techniques to be learned in

Unlock the mysteries of the Hand of Fatima, a beautiful, fascinating symbol of power and healing found throughout the Middle East and North Africa. Symbolizing both the five pillars of Islam and the five most highly regarded members of Islam, the Hand also symbolizes universal, feminine, and mystical traditions found in the hearts of devotees throughout the world. We will explore the ancient and modern meanings of the Hand of Fatima through stories and symbolism found in images, tales, music, and dance.
